Allium giganteum

For many years already the garden world enjoys her good looking daughter Allium Ambassador. But I???m glad there still is a flower and bulb growers who adores mother even more and re-introduced her again.

Allium giganteum has fallen into oblivion for a bit and that was a pity because her beauty is beyond compare and she is the latest and longest blooming of all the large flowering Alliums. She mainly owes her come-back to the flower trade because flower arrangers love to use this ornamental onion in their flower arrangements.

When the summer starts Allium giganteum always is in full bloom and despite the warm weather she amazes us with her long blooming period. Over and over again fresh flowers appear from the inside of flower ball and she blooms longer and longer and her size grows larger and larger.
